The fifth dot in most things costs double, but I don't expect you to be able to afford any fifth dots.
Attributes
You start with a free point in each (already inked in). Pick your favourite category (Mental, Physical, Social) and distribute 5 dots. Pick your next category and distribute 4 dots, then 3 in the final category. For a balanced character it pays to have two dots in each attribute (which leaves you with little choice of how to do that tertiary category...). Attributes are capped at 5; remember the last dot is double.
Skills
No free dots this time, but otherwise much the same deal: 7 dots in your primary category, 4 dots in the secondary and 2 in the tertiary. Finally pick one skill and specify one aspect of it in which you're specialised. Skills are capped at 3 for most children; see the Prodigy merits, below.

Distribute 7 points across the following list (costs in brackets; the fifth dot costs double):

- Ego Boost (2) - Bonus dice after praise
- Eidetic Memory (2) - As you'd expect
- Language (1) - Fluency in one other language
- Mental Prodigy (1) - Requires a mental attribute at 4: Break the 3-dot cap in one mental skill
- Multilingual (1-5) - Conversational in two languages per dot
- Prized Possession (1) - A useful item with a skill bonus
- Trivia Hound (4) - Loads and loads of useless knowledge. You may be required to bring some out-of-character
- Unseen Sense (2) - You can see ... things... Requires Wits 2
- Ambidextrous (3) - No off-hand penalties
- Direction Sense (1)
- Fast Reflexes (1 or 2) - Requires Dex 3 or Wits 3. Bonus to initiative
- Fighting Style: Karate for Kids (1-3) - Requires Dex 2, Sta 2, Brawl 2. Combat manoeuvres
- Fighting Style: Playground Dogpile (1-3) - Requires Str 2, Sta 2, brawl 2. Combat manoeuvres
- Fleet of Foot (1-3) - Requires Str 2, bonus move speed
- Fresh Start (1 or 3) - Requires some Fast Reflexes, change declared combat actions
- Giant (3) - Be adult size!
- Hard Head (2) - Requires Sta 3 or Resolve 3, dificult to stun
- Iron Stomach (1) - Requires Sta 2
- Natural Immunity (1) - Requires Sta 2, disease resistance
- Physical Prodigy (1) - Requires a physical attribute at 4, breaks the 3-dot cap on a physical skill
- Quick Draw (1 or 2) - Requires Dex 3, draw items from about your person as free action
- Quick Healer (4) - Requires Sta 3
- Strong Back (1) - Requires Str 2, bonus to carrying and lifting
- Strong Lungs (2) - Requires Athletics 3, greater endurance and holding breath
- Tiny (1) - Small person
- Tough (1-2) - Requires Sta 3 or Resolve 3, reduce wound penalties
